Sum Of None Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 31, 2026

Overview

Sum Of None is a number puzzle designed to work on your device without an account. This Privacy Policy explains the information used by the current version of the app and the choices available to you.

Information the App Uses

Sum Of None uses gameplay information that you create while using the app. This includes the current puzzle grid, move count, board size, difficulty, game mode, saved date, remaining puzzle solution, completed scores, score dates, and randomly generated score identifiers.

The app also stores your onboarding status and your haptic and sound preferences. This information is used only to restore app state, continue an unfinished game, show your personal leaderboard, and apply your settings.

The current app does not request access to Location, Contacts, Photos, Camera, Microphone, Motion & Fitness, Bluetooth, Health, or Tracking.

Sum Of None stores its gameplay records and preferences in local app storage on your device. The app does not operate a backend service or transmit this information to the developer.

Local Storage and Retention

Saved-game data, settings, onboarding status, and personal leaderboard records are stored through iOS local preferences. The personal leaderboard retains up to 50 completed scores. When a new score is saved, the app keeps the best scores based on move count, using the newest score first when move counts match.

An unfinished saved game is replaced as play continues and is removed after a completed game or when the app starts a new game in a mode that clears the prior save. The app does not currently provide a control for deleting all leaderboard records or preferences at once. You can remove the app's locally stored data by deleting the app from your device.

Sum Of None does not implement cloud synchronization. Your device or platform provider may include app data in a device backup according to your backup settings and the provider's terms; that backup behavior is not controlled by Sum Of None.

Sharing

After completing a puzzle, you may choose to open Apple's standard sharing sheet. The app prepares a short text message containing your move count and the app name. Nothing is shared unless you select a destination and complete the share action.

A service or app that you choose in the sharing sheet may process the shared text under its own privacy policy. Sum Of None does not control those third-party destinations.

Accounts, Network Services, Analytics, and Advertising

The current version of Sum Of None has no account or sign-in system, backend server, in-app network service, Game Center integration, cloud synchronization, analytics service, advertising, or advertising tracking. The app target does not include third-party SDKs.

Sum Of None does not sell personal information. Based on the current app's local-only operation, it does not send gameplay records or app preferences to the developer or third parties.

Children's Privacy

Sum Of None does not require users to provide personal information and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. Parents or guardians with questions may contact us using the support link below.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated if the app's features or information practices change. Any revised policy will identify its new Last Updated date. Please review the current policy when you update the app.
