SnapStreak Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 31, 2026

Overview

SnapStreak is an iPhone scavenger-hunt game developed by Timothy Connolly. The app is designed to work on your device without an account, advertising, analytics, or an online service.

SnapStreak does not send your photos, game results, or gameplay activity to Timothy Connolly or TCQ Consulting LLC.

Camera and Photos

SnapStreak requests access to your device camera when you choose to take a scavenger-hunt photo. Camera access is used only to capture the photo for the current challenge. You can deny or later revoke Camera access in iOS Settings.

The app does not request access to your Photos library and does not save captured images to that library. A captured image is shown to you for confirmation. Confirmed images are kept in memory during the game. When you achieve a new high score, the confirmed photos from that game are stored in SnapStreak's private local app storage as trophy photos. A newer high-score game for the same location pack replaces the trophy photos previously stored for that pack.

SnapStreak does not upload captured photos or provide an in-app sharing or export feature.

Call State

While SnapStreak is running, it uses Apple's CallKit framework to observe whether a call becomes active so the game can pause. The app does not read caller identity, phone numbers, or call content, and it does not save or transmit call information.

Information Stored on Your Device

SnapStreak stores the following information locally:

  • Your selected difficulty and timer preferences
  • Whether you completed onboarding
  • High scores and best completion times by location pack and difficulty
  • The location packs you have cleared
  • Trophy photos from qualifying high-score games

SnapStreak does not store calendar dates for games or streaks. The app uses timing information during gameplay, but only best completion times are retained after a game.

Data Retention and Deletion

Preferences, scores, best times, and cleared-pack progress remain in the app's local storage until they are replaced or the app is deleted. Trophy photos remain until a new qualifying game replaces them for that location pack or the app is deleted. The current version does not include an in-app control for deleting all stored information.

Network Services, Accounts, and Third Parties

SnapStreak does not make network requests, connect to a backend, or require a user account or authentication. It does not use Game Center. It does not include third-party software development kits or package dependencies.

SnapStreak does not include advertising, attribution services, analytics, crash-reporting services, or tracking technology. It does not request permission to track you across apps and websites.

iCloud and Device Backups

SnapStreak does not use iCloud, CloudKit, or an app-managed cloud synchronization service. Information stored in the app's local container may be included in an iPhone backup according to your iOS, iCloud, and device-backup settings. Apple controls the operation and retention of those backups.

Other Device Permissions

The current version does not request access to the microphone, location, contacts, notifications, or Photos library. Camera is the only permission declared by the app.

Children's Privacy

SnapStreak is designed to be family-friendly. The current version does not knowingly collect or transmit personal information from children or other users. Photos remain under the device owner's control and should be taken with appropriate supervision and respect for other people's privacy.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if SnapStreak's features or data practices change. Any revision will be posted on this page with an updated date.
