Overview
MacGuiver is an offline field-intelligence utility that matches ordinary materials with supported project blueprints and helps users identify the materials required for supported projects. This Privacy Policy explains what the app stores and how information is handled.
Information We Collect
TCQ Consulting LLC does not collect personal information through MacGuiver. The app does not collect names, email addresses, account credentials, device identifiers, precise or approximate location, contacts, photographs, audio, health information, or payment details.
Material names and project searches entered into Workbench or Reverse Engineer are processed locally on the device. They are held only as needed for the current app session and are not transmitted to TCQ Consulting LLC or stored on a TCQ Consulting LLC server.
Information Stored on Your Device
MacGuiver stores limited information locally on your device:
- whether the introductory onboarding has been completed; and
- the app's bundled, offline material database used for local search and blueprint matching.
The bundled material database contains general reference information supplied with the app. It is not a record of personal information about the user.
Network Services and Accounts
The audited version of MacGuiver contains no app-operated backend connection or network-request code. It does not require or provide user accounts, registration, sign-in, authentication, or social features.
MacGuiver's core features and bundled reference data work without Wi-Fi or cellular service.
Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
MacGuiver does not include analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. It contains no advertisements, advertising SDKs, tracking technology, or App Tracking Transparency request. TCQ Consulting LLC does not use the app to profile users or sell personal information.
Device Permissions
MacGuiver does not request access to the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, health information, motion and fitness data, Bluetooth, local network, or tracking permission.
Third-Party Services and Software
The audited Xcode project contains no third-party SDKs, Swift packages, package dependencies, or embedded third-party frameworks. MacGuiver uses Apple system frameworks, including SwiftUI, SwiftData, Foundation, and UIKit, for its interface, local database, app preferences, and system integration.
Cloud Sync and Backups
MacGuiver does not implement iCloud or another cloud-synchronization service. Its SwiftData database is explicitly configured without CloudKit.
Local app data may be included in an iPhone backup managed by Apple, depending on your device and backup settings. Apple, not MacGuiver or TCQ Consulting LLC, controls that backup process.
Your Choices and Data Retention
Because MacGuiver does not collect or receive personal information, TCQ Consulting LLC has no MacGuiver account or personal-data record to provide, correct, export, or delete.
You can remove MacGuiver's locally stored preferences and database by deleting the app from your device. If you restore the app from an Apple-managed backup, local app data may also be restored.
Children's Privacy
MacGuiver does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not transmit user information to TCQ Consulting LLC, it does not create personal profiles for children or other users.
Future Changes
If a future version adds accounts, sharing, cloud synchronization, a backend, analytics, advertising, third-party SDKs, or another feature that changes how information is handled, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that version is released.
