Overview
LaneLuck is built to work entirely on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information LaneLuck accesses, how it is used, and what LaneLuck does not do with your data.
Information LaneLuck Accesses
LaneLuck requests two permissions from iOS: Location and Motion & Fitness.
LaneLuck requires Always Location permission so it can continue recording an active drive while you use your preferred navigation app (such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze) or while your iPhone is locked. Location data is used only during an active drive to measure distance, speed, route heading, and commute timing.
Motion & Fitness data, including device acceleration, is used only to help detect driving movements during an active drive. Neither permission is used outside of an active or just-completed drive.
Where Your Data Lives
Every completed drive, including timestamps, distance, speed, and estimated driving movements, is saved as a file stored locally in LaneLuck's app storage on your iPhone.
LaneLuck does not use a backend server. There are no accounts, sign-in requirements, analytics services, or cloud sync in this version of the app. Your drive history remains stored locally on your device.
What LaneLuck Does Not Do
LaneLuck does not use analytics or tracking SDKs. It does not share, sell, or transmit your location history, motion data, or drive history to any third party.
LaneLuck does not upload or transmit your drive data to TCQ Consulting LLC or any third-party server. The app contains no advertisements and does not use advertising tracking identifiers.
LaneLuck never uses your location for advertising, marketing, profiling, or sharing with third parties.
Your Control Over Your Data
You can review your full drive history at any time in the app. You can permanently delete it using Clear All Drives in Drive History or Settings.
Deleting your history removes it from your device immediately. Because nothing is stored anywhere else, there is no remaining copy on a company server.
You can revoke Location or Motion & Fitness access at any time in iOS Settings. Because LaneLuck records drives while another navigation app may be in use, Always Location permission is required for full drive tracking. Revoking either permission or changing Location access may prevent LaneLuck from recording drives correctly.
If Always Location access is not granted, LaneLuck explains that the permission is required for background drive recording and provides a way to open iOS Settings. LaneLuck does not begin recording a drive in the background unless Always Location access is enabled.
Children's Privacy
LaneLuck is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Future Changes
If a future version of LaneLuck adds iCloud sync, a backend, analytics, or another feature that changes how information is handled, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that version is released.
